Ubank wins MFAA Fintech Lender of the Year Award; fourth year in a row
Australia’s award-winning digital bank, Ubank, has been named Fintech Lender of the Year at the 2025 MFAA National Excellence Awards. The achievement further cements its leadership in providing digital lending solutions for Australian mortgage brokers.
The MFAA National Excellence Awards celebrate the industry’s best brokers, businesses, and professionals, recognising outstanding achievement and innovation across the mortgage and finance sector.
George Srbinovski, Head of Broker Distribution at Ubank, said: “Taking home the Fintech Lender National Award for the fourth consecutive year underscores the industry’s recognition of how Ubank is delivering to broker and their customer needs through digital innovation.”
Earlier this year, Ubank unveiled its new broker platform, designed and rebuilt to streamline the digital home loan lodgement process and deliver a fast and simple lending experience for brokers and their customers.
At the heart of the platform is Ubank’s Decisioning Engine, which automates credit assessment and enables most applications to be reviewed and approved within two days. In an industry-first, the platform’s Broker Flow tool also eliminates repetitive data tasks by allowing brokers to use Illion BankStatements technology to collect customer data and streamline the application process.
“Today, speed and simplicity are no longer just nice-to-haves—they’re essential to broker productivity and customer satisfaction. That’s exactly what Ubank’s broker lodgement platform delivers and why it’s earned the vote of approval from brokers,” Mr Srbinovski said.
Ubank’s Business Development Managers (BDMs) were instrumental in embedding the new lodgement platform with brokers and their aggregator partners, which include the leading mortgage aggregators in Australia such as Finsure, Loan Market, AFG and Connective.
“Through a nationwide education program, hands-on support, and ongoing engagement, Ubank BDMs empowered brokers to seamlessly integrate the platform into their day-to-day operations — driving productivity and delivering great customer outcomes that enhance satisfaction and long-term value,” he said.
Summing up the significance of Ubank’s award win, Mr Srbinovski said this recognition as MFAA’s Fintech Lender of the Year is a testament to the strength of our technology, the dedication of our people, and the broker community we proudly support.
“We’re honoured to receive this award and extend our sincere thanks to the MFAA for their recognition. Most importantly, we want to thank the brokers across Australia for their continued support and trust in Ubank and helping more Australians achieve their goals of home ownership,” he said.
The MFAA award for broker technology comes in the same month as Ubank was named Money Magazine’s Bank of the Year – Product in the 2025 Consumer Finance Awards for the third consecutive year. These dual awards reinforce Ubank’s reputation as a fintech leader and underscore how our innovative technology is resonating with both everyday Australians and professionals across the mortgage and finance sector.
