We’ve got some great news to share with you…

UBank has placed #21 in the 2020 Best Place to Work Awards, in the 100-999 employees category.

It’s the second year in a row we’ve been included, with 88% of our team saying UBank is a great place to work. We’re still the only bank to ever make the cut and we’re really proud to be leading the way in terms of culture.

The reason our team of incredibly passionate people turn up to work every day is because they are determined to make banking simpler, better and smarter for our 600,000+ customers.

Most banks have hundreds of products – we have four.

Most banks require customers to visit them in branches – we are 100% online.

Most banks charge fees for a number of their services – we have zero fees*.

We pass on savings to our customers, through great rates, because we’ve removed the unnecessary extras of banking. And we couldn’t be prouder of our team, across Sydney and Melbourne, who bring this to life every day.

The past 12 months have been… different. A lot of change has occurred not only inside UBank, but in the world we live in. 95% of our team have been working from home since March, and for a team who loves being together every day, this has presented challenges.

But what has shone through is the resilience of our team and their unwavering dedication to our customers.

The UBank team is made up of 310 people, representing 35 different nationalities. We’re more than a workplace, we’re a team who are united behind a strategy and committed to delivering exceptional outcomes, who celebrate diversity and encourage differences, and have a lot of fun along the way.

A huge ThankU to our team – you’re all rock stars and we can’t wait to see all the amazing things we achieve together in the next 12 months (and beyond!).

*There is a one-off rate-lock fee for fixed home loan applicants. However, this has been temporarily paused until September 30, 2020 to support customers during these unprecedented times.

About the Best Places to Work in Australia Benchmarking Study

Companies nominated for the Best Places to Work benchmarking study must go through an application process and are selected and ranked on the basis of employees’ responses to a Trust Index© Employee Engagement Survey (2/3 of the score), which measures employee perceptions of their workplace. A Culture Audit©, is completed by all companies and evaluated by the Great Place to Work® Australia research team, which accounts for 1/3 of the total score. Companies receiving high scores on these assessments appear on the national Best Places to Work lists; the highest scores enjoy the highest rankings.

2020 is the 13th annual edition of the Best Places to Work benchmarking study in Australia. The study is conducted based on one of the world’s most comprehensive studies of workplace culture by Great Place to Work Australia.
